BuSy, BuSy, BuSy...

Holy cow! It has been so long! I have been super busy these last few months. I will explain some of the things I have been up to- I competed in the pageant and I did the best of my ability. I didnt place that year. But, I did get the academic award which I was very pleased to receive. I had an amazing experience. I also met some amazing girls! Each one of them had something different to offer. I still keep in touch with some of them. I am planning on competing in the pageant again this year. So theres the inside on the pageant. I finished ninth grade which i was glad to be done with jr. high ;). now im in high school! woot woot! i tried out for the high school cheer team in April and made it! i was so proud of myself for working so hard and it sure did pay off. i am loving cheerleading. it is teaching me a lot about dedication and hard work. Cami is doing really well.. It has been one year since she was diagnosed with cancer. I keep up with her blog. I wish i could see her more often! she still to this day amazes me with how strong she is. wow... her wish was granted to go to disney world. she had an amazing time! XOXO sweetheart! The National Jr Honor Society was an amazing experience. we did so much service and it was amazing to see smiles on peoples faces because of me. i really have strong feeling for it. so i encourage every teenager to do it! theres a lot going on but i dont want to bore everyone to death. i appriciate everyone who has been keeping up with this blog, it means a lot to me. as of right now i am just enjoying my summer relaxing, swimming, traveling, oh and getting hurt! so far i have just gotten stiches on my finger we will see about the future. Yeah, I am accident prone. Anyways, I encourage everyone to make a difference in peoples lives get out and do something for your community. i will keep up on posting about the pageant planning (which is always fun!) and also what im up to. Remember to spread the word about cancer. XOXO

CrAzY wEeK!

I figured I should update my blog since its been a while! I've been really busy.... I just got home from New York! It was AMAZING! I got to go to ground zero (gave me the chills), Wicked, (which was defiantly amazing!), among other things. Right after I got home I got right back into preparing for my pageant! Which is...TOMORROW! Whoa! It's finally here (: I'm super excited and I have learned a lot from this experience. Beautiful Cami is doing well (: I will hopefully be seeing her soon. The Sonic fundraiser just ended today and did well. Woot! On Tuesday, I got to meet with the board members of ACCO (American Childhood Cancer Organization) it was so cool! As you can see, I have been busy! In closing, I would just like to tell everyone that has helped me thank you! I have grown so much and hope to continue to grow from this amazing experience.

Much Love,

P.S. Me at the Hershey Factory!! YUM

Welcome

I am your typical teenager from a small town in Utah. I have one brother and ten step brothers and sisters. I love to spend time with friends and family, Lake Powell (awesome), spending time at the ranch, singing, dancing, cheerleading, and texting on my phone. I've always had a strong love for children. I enjoy any chance I get to babysit my little cousins. One quality I have is compassion, and with that I have always been a caregiver when people are hurt or sick. It's important to me to be a great student. In fact I have maintained a 4.0 gpa all two years of Jr. High School except one A- UGH!!! :( I stay involved with many different organizations including the National Jr Honor Society. I have performed since the age of 4, following in my mother's footsteps. This year I have even decided to participate in the Miss Utah's Outstanding Teen Pageant. I am really excited for the experience, but most of all to make a difference in "Conquering Kids Cancer."

Inspriational

Lady Antebellum - Never Alone
May the angels protect you
Trouble neglect you
And heaven accept you when its time to go home
May you always have plenty
The glass never empty
Know in your belly
You're never alone

May your tears come from laughing
You find friends worth having
With every year passing
They mean more than gold
May you win but stay humble
Smile more than grumble
And know when you stumble
You're never alone

Chorus: Never alone
Never alone
I'll be in every beat of your heart
When you face the unknown
Wherever you fly
This isn't goodbye
My love will follow you stay with you

Baby you're never alone

well
I have to be honest
As much as I wanted
I'm not gonna promise that the cold winds won't blow
So when hard times have found you
And your fears surround you
Wrap my love around you
You're never alone

Chorus

May the angels protect you
Trouble neglect you
And heaven accept you when its time to go home
And when hard times have found you
And your fears surround you
Wrap my love around you
You're never alone

Chorus

My love will follow you stay with you
Baby you're never alone

The day I met a real live Princess..

I was lucky enough to meet my real inspiration for my platform, little Camryn. When I went to meet her for the first time, Cami was confined to her home because her immunities were too low to be around the public. I wanted to make sure I was as clean as possible, so I used hand sanitizer continuously beforehand. Her mother told her a princess was coming, so she made sure to be dressed up in her princess costume. Her big smile was contagious and made it impossible to notice the loss of her hair and the swelling of her face from medications. I took time to read to her and give her, her very own princess tiara. She put it on immediately! I tried hard to hold back my tears but my emotions overtook me as I read and talked to her and her mother about the reality of her illness. It shocked me that this little tiny body had such a huge devastating disease. Cami became my inspiration and I knew this was the platform for me. I want to continue to make a difference in her life and the lives of others with this disease.
